Meet the Founders
Hand Railings & Spindles was founded by Lee Ketteringham and Colin Hassy, two professionals with hands-on construction experience and a shared commitment to helping customers complete their projects with confidence.
Together, they created HRS to simplify the ordering process by providing access to premium railing products backed by knowledgeable, one-on-one service.
Lee Ketteringham
After years working as a commercial diver across the globe, Lee Ketteringham learned that the difference between a good job and a bad one comes down to precision, communication, problem-solving, and doing things the right way. That mindset — combined with his background in sales, hands-on field experience, willingness to learn, and natural ability to visualize projects before they’re built — is what led him to start Hand Railings & Spindles. After seeing how frustrating it could be for contractors and homeowners to deal with slow suppliers, poor communication, and inconsistent quality, Lee built HRS to offer a better experience: dependable service, quality products, and railing designs that are built to look great and last.
Colin Hassy
My name is Colin Hassy and I am a construction professional and entrepreneur with a strong background in custom home improvements, finish carpentry, and exterior living projects across South Louisiana and the Gulf Coast region. Through years of hands-on experience building decks, stair systems, and high-end residential renovations, I have developed a deep understanding of the craftsmanship, materials, and hardware that go into quality railing systems.
That expertise led to the creation of Hand Railings & Spindles, a dedicated supplier focused on providing builders, contractors, and homeowners with reliable access to premium stair and railing components.
